Inter-Motion, Inc. a professional machinery rebuilding company is simply stated by the companies own sales and marketing literature, a manufacturing company that takes 'hopelessly outdated machinery and rebuilds the product above and beyond today's technological standards.' The statement is simple, but the work that is performed at Inter-Motion is one of manufacturing magic. The brainchild of Jim Zecha and Ronny Roberts, Inter-Motion attacks each rebuild project with a process that includes, teardown and inspection, grind, scrape and rebuild spindles, replacement of all electric, pneumatic, hydraulic and lubrication systems, performance testing, technological modifications and eventually assembled into working order.
For 25 plus years, Inter-Motion has performed this proven rebuild methodolgy to perfection. Furthermore, the company will customize and build systems to perform additional functionality that might be desired by the customer. Simply put, Inter-Motion can rebuild or build to suit any system for today's everchanging manfucturing environment.
This past December, another chapter in the Inter-Motion success story was created when Zecha and Roberts agreed to sell their company to Orthman Manufacturing Inc. of Lexington. Orthman is a proven manufacturing leader in the agricultural, industrial and conveying systems field. Orthman President and Owner John McCoy recently stated at the Buffalo County Economic Development 'State of the Economy' event that acquiring Inter-Motion made great business synergy sense, in that the two companies can compliment each other. Despite the sale, Zecha and Roberts remain active with the company as project consultant and business unit manager for the company they started in 1985.
